Mr. Baocai Paul Jia, is currently the Executive Director for the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS). Mr. Jia is the 2019 recipient of CLTA Hal Wingard Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2017 recipient of the California Language Teachers Association SWLP Teacher Leader of the Year Award. Mr. Jia has an experience of 38 years of language education in China and in the US. He currently teaches at Fremont Union High School District in California as an AP Chinese teacher and serves as the World Languages Department Lead at Cupertino High School. Mr. Jia has been an instructor at Stanford World Language Project (SWLP) at Stanford University. He has served in the Chinese Language Teachers Association of California (CLTAC) as Secretary and Vice President; he has served two terms as President of CLASS, and is currently serving as Executive Director for CLASS since 2016. His professional service includes the College Board's World Language Academic Advisory Committee, AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam Development Committee, and the SAT Chinese Subject Test Development Committee. He has also been serving on the California State World Language Project (CWLP) Advisory Board since 2013, and a committee member on the California Department of Education World Languages Standards Advisory Committee in 2019
